The thief

One night, a thief broke into a house through the window: He first glanced around to see what he could easily take and run out. His eyes fell on a decorative gun hanging on the wall. He was not interested in a gun which would be too difficult to sell later on. He then tip-toed to the living room where he found a jewels' box. He took the jewels, added a few things and decided to leave. His hands were now so full that he was wondering how he could get out without making any noise. He looked left and right and moved towards the window. He was about to step out when he noticed that the gun on the wall had disappeared.
